‘Tis the season, for in-hand work!

Did some in-hand work with Saf today. We’re still very much learning about it but I really do feel that it’s so beneficial and something of a dying art (though what we are doing is far from the ‘art’ stage!) Because we’re limited by our very wet field, it’s so easy to just pop Saf’s in-hand bridle on and start work, no grooming etc. needed!

My aim is to keep Saf supple through the winter, we were working on giving through the poll and bending laterally through the neck. Some walk / halt transitions to get her listening, a little rein back and a some circles. A good start, looking forward to more 🙂
